Cube at KIKK, Namur (BE)

FIBER will join forces with KIKK Festival in Namur (Belgium) from November 3rd to 5th, 2016. The sixth edition of KIKK offers an international program of art, design, technology and creativity.

This year KIKK invited FIBER to present a selection of artists who are connected to this year’s theme ‘Interference’.

Alongside the public program KIKK and FIBER will organise a network meetup to introduce art professionals, cultural organizations and festival partners from both networks to each other. Thanks to the Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie.

The installation Cube operates on the kaleidoscopic principle of multiplied reflections, by placing several mirrors at perpendicular angles. In contrast to the classical kaleidoscope, where light enters the object, Cube embodies the light inside and projects its inner multiplication outwards into space. Cube is chroreographed by an autonomic algorithm that directs the synergy between light and sound.
